the jiangs are probably in the news and in trash magazines quite a bit and each of them has their own reputation. jc gets the rep of being quite irritable and unyielding to reporters who invade his privacy but at the same time he& #39;s polite enough to answer some questions
jyl is the media& #39;s angel for the most part, always taking questions and being incredibly polite and smiley (but really she only seems like that because she& #39;s so smart and incredibly diplomatic, she answers questions without /really/ answering them)
wwx of course gets the bad rep because he& #39;s the scandalous adopted child whose parentage is unknown and the media thinks he& #39;s the result of jfm& #39;s extramarital affair. he gets a bit of the wild card rep cause there are some times he& #39;s extremely charming
and he answers questions the least diplomatically which is a double edged sword because his words always come back to bite him in the ass. and then sometimes he answers questions with more questions and annoys the shit out of reporters.
and the big thing is he& #39;s always coming up with new and riskier ways to escape both reporters and his security cuz no matter how many years pass (i& #39;m thinking he got adopted late, like 13), he& #39;ll never get used to this life under a magnifying glass
anyway i& #39;m thinking lwj, lxc, jzx play rock paper scissors to decide who& #39;s guarding who (lwj doesn& #39;t want to participate at first because he think it& #39;s childish but he gets coaxed into it) and ofc they only have surface level opinions of each of the jiangs
so everyone wants to guard jyl the most and then jc and basically nobody wants wwx because of the rumors about how much of a pain in the ass he is. but anyway jzx wins the first round and lwj loses to his brother because lxc just knows how he thinks
so lwj is displeased sure but he doesn& #39;t complain about it and decides to do his job. he meets wwx and dislikes him at first, wwx seems to thrive on undermining his authority and trying to get a rise out of him (which lwj does not give him the satisfaction of seeing)
but then this one time wwx manages to escape the rest of his security but not lwj because he put a tracker in his coat pocket, lwj decides to follow him to wherever the hell he& #39;s always running off to.
lwj knows what the magazines say that wwx is always at X or Y club, drinking, doing drugs and getting into fights but he knows not to weigh the words of tabloids so heavily. besides he& #39;s been guarding wwx for a couple weeks now
and that behaviour is so uncharacteristic to the man he sees on a daily basis. wwx knows how to get under people& #39;s skin sure but it& #39;s because he& #39;s incredibly smart and lwj has never seen him touch any drugs in his presence, ever.
he& #39;s seen him indulge in drinks but never seen the man drunk either. so he follows him closely and to his surprise actually ends up in the red light district. he sees wwx go into a shady club and lwj is...disappointed and then he& #39;s frustrated he& #39;s disappointed.
he still decides to go in after wwx though and stays off to the side to see what he does, now fully expecting him to live out all those rumors lwj hadn& #39;t believed in, but wwx doesn& #39;t do that. he just talks to the bartender and this one waitress the entire night,
not even indulging in a sip of alcohol. it& #39;s incredibly mundane and tame and lwj doesn& #39;t know what to think anymore. lwj eventually has to move to surveilling him from the outside because wwx stays until closing. when wwx appears outside, it& #39;s with the young woman and man in tow
lwj follows in his car and watches as wwx drops them off at their home first and then goes home.
the next day when wwx "sneaks" away again, this time in the day time, lwj follows him to the same house as yesterday night,

watches as wwx picks up a little boy who runs out to greet him and smiles at the woman from the previous night with deep fondness and lwj& #39;s thinking, so this is wwx& #39;s big secret, what he& #39;s hiding from the world - he& #39;s got a whole other family
as he& #39;s wrapping his head around this info, there& #39;s a tap on his car window and there wwx is, smiling
"so lan zhan, you& #39;ve followed me around for the past 24 hours, you must be tired, please join us for lunch"

anyway wwx takes lwj in, lwj learns the actual actual truth which is that the wens were the family that looked out for wwx before his adoption and he& #39;s maintained the connection with them and been helping them out etc
i fully expect wwx to mess with lwj before revealing this truth though^ like saying a-yuan is his son and stuff.
anyway lwj becomes actual friends with wwx and instead of sneaking off, wwx starts taking lwj with him everywhere and they develop feelings for eo yadda yadda

in between all of this i expect there to be xicheng and yanli x zixuan shenanigans and the sworn brother trio to pine after their clients/loves of their lives together
maybe insert a real threat like extremists supporting the jins but specifically jgs (the political opposition)
