I like to look for positives or lessons in everything...

So let’s give this a try:

What can we take away from this train wreck of a story?

This is not fine.

There is no such thing as “the line of credit years” and don’t let ANYONE convince you otherwise.

This logic is what keeps the lending institutions rich and the borrower entrapped in perpetual poverty.

When you borrow you are stealing from the future you.
I understand things doesn’t always go to plan and life finds ways to throw us unwelcome surprises.

But you are not a victim.

You are not at the mercy of what life throws your way. You have the POWER to choose how you react.

My brothers situation did not develop overnight.
We all need to work on being comfortable in our own skin. Practice self love and gratitude.

The root of my brother’s issues has always been his desire to “be someone” for others.

My wife jokes that she has seen 7 different versions of my brother in the last 11 yrs.
We need to recognize:

•What brings us joy
•What gives us value
•What is a true need vs want

If we can’t grasp these questions we will always be looking to appease the expectations of others.

That’s an impossible task.
As my brother has experienced, you may find that you’re reinventing yourself every few years based on your new social circle.

He has been treading water financially his whole life because he never discovered who HE wants to be.
Take time for yourself.

REFLECT on:

•Your path
•Your progress
•Your authenticity

If you admire someone’s authenticity and self esteem, make the effort to connect. Having these people around is important to inspire the same traits in you.
