Amanda:: the ‘Opening Dance’ scene was inspired by ‘Singing In The Rain’ as in her head she felt like Magnus knew Debbie Reynolds, it was his fave film so the dance was inspired by the ‘Good Morning’ song, a classic as that’s what Magnus would fantasise about #ShadowConAtHome

Amanda:: “created the narrative that in the 1950’s, he (Magnus) was single and watched Singing in the Rain and dreamt of having a partner one day and this dream was him fulfilling that old fantasy of his” #malec #shadowconathome

RE The Hospital scene: Amanda: “Both Harry and Matt care very deeply about their characters and it was an emotionally raw experience” #shadowconathome #malec

RE: (freedom or specific direction) for example the Alec hand-wringing moment was something “very specific” that she wanted for that scene and it was very important! #shadowconathome

Amanda: “The scene with Lorenzo, Matt was like “i’m military, i’m strong, i’m not going to in there & be vulnerable straight away” & thats what it needed to be, at first coming in as an authority figure (1/2)

“and when he realises that isnt working he has to change gears, now he has to just beg because his ‘true love’ is gonna die & this was the moment he broke, the first time we saw this strong character crack, & it took a lot of takes to get the balance” #shadowconathome
