Ok contentious topic but the @RemainerNow motto is it’s “ok to change your mind” so here follows a mini thread on Scottish independence/ #indyrrf2 debate 1/6
Firstly quick disclaimer, whilst 2 of my grandparents are Scottish (Aberdeen) I have lived in England my whole life.

But whilst I have always been a unionist, I feel is should say why I think #indyref2 should happen. 2/6
I always thought the UK was stronger together but I do not think it is consistent to spend 2 years arguing for a #FinalSay on brexit, because the facts have changed, and at the same time refuse that to the Scottish people who voted in 2014 given the Brexit govt in no10! 3/6
Whilst I do feel that the Brexit clustofuck does indicate that any move for Scottish Indy could be hugely complex and fraught with difficulties, I feel that those who advocate have earnt the right to make their case given the shambles in Westminster! 4/6
So what I am trying to say is that whilst I am not persuaded that Scotland would prosper more outside of the UK, given the incompetent govt we have in Westminster , i feel that those who support it should have the chance to make the case given the change of situation. 5/6
So whilst there are so many issues in the Uk given the stupidly that is Brexit, and the utter incompetence of the Covid crisis, Maybe our friends north of the border should be allowed to make their case! 6/6
