Dissociated from that they became actual characters and people
Because in the key to life on earth we can see the main character (dec) and maybe Daniel (alex) and how at first they were like one person and really in sync and Declan took comfort in him but then that side of him (his negative, self destructive side/ daniel)
began to take control of him because of all the bullying and stress of being so backed up into a corner cause of family struggles and personal struggles
Because "you& #39;ve been acting quite strangle since 10 years old" could be when Daniel started "acting up" and taking control of Dec, like in tktloe music video (cause they act like kids in the video, they play in the park, read together, and go to a costume party)
So in be an astronaut we get a bit of backstory and we see how Dec (or whoever the main character is) has been bullied and how he struggles with who he is, so in tktloe we see how it affects him and how Daniel is essentially created (?)
And then in Daniel, the narrator (dec/main character) talks about Daniel and how lost and reckless and hopeless he is, and how he& #39;s still a child, and maybe that& #39;s because to him Daniel is that little kid that acted out all his life and took over him when things were rough
So to him Daniel will always be a reckless child that he& #39;s trying to keep caged up
And he says that Daniels gone running, and in beautiful faces it seems like he& #39;s running cause he says "lift your hands up, and lead us back home" and at the end of Daniel it says he& #39;s been arrested so the "life your hands up" part is pretty interesting
And in the Daniel mv he& #39;s running, which is like a theme with him? cause he& #39;s so lost and he& #39;s always running away from or to something in hopes of maybe finding himself? And in Sag A* he talks about travelling and going far away
"Heaven knows you get so miserable you have to go" cause whenever he& #39;s miserable or spiralling Daniel comes into the picture and Daniel& #39;s always running from his problems and feelings so he has to go (?)
"You don& #39;t have to be running errands for anyone" maybe that& #39;s in reference to the ending of tktloe cause all those jobs include serving others and doing things for other people, and maybe that& #39;s Daniel talking to him telling him that that& #39;s not all there is and that they
could run away and leave all of that behind
And in Daniel it says "you won& #39;t be missed" and in bf it says "beautiful faces won& #39;t remember you honey" so maybe that& #39;s Daniel convincing him that theres nothing keeping them there and no one loves them anyway so they might as well run
And Daniel finally taking over and him giving in could be why in bf his eyes turn blue at the end, cause it& #39;s not him anymore it& #39;s Daniel
And in twice your size it sounds like Daniel is making him scared of staying, telling him that staying is a bad idea and that he knows places where they can go and be themselves
I& #39;m dec said that that ones about environmentalism, but fitting it into Daniel& #39;s story still makes sense because daniel/decs lives were clearly impacted by capitalism and classism because in tktloe we see that he& #39;s bullied for not being rich enough, and his home is
gentrified by the rich, leaving him possibly homeless, and the deadend job he goes on to work at makes him miserable because he& #39;s running errands for everyone else (rich people innit), so ig you could say the story of Daniel is the story of capitalism and classism?
Idk much about how Emily ties into it, it could be another one of his personalities in character form, or it could be a friend in the same boat as him, or it could be someone he was friends with as a kid, that turned on him when kids started bullying him "you& #39;re so spiteful..."
It could also maybe be another part of him, as someone he was before Daniel came along
