Kuroo is always one to wake up first, but not this time. He wakes up to the sight of Ryuu standing by the bedroom window. His eyes are focused on the cars below them but his mind is obviously elsewhere.

"Now what're you doin' up so early hm?" Is all he manages to mumble out.

Ryuu's head snaps towards the bed, startled by the question.
"I couldn't sleep, and I didn't wanna wake you up. You looked like you had some nice dreams."

There's a smirk stretching Ryuu's lips, Kuroo snorts, stretching before he sits up. "Of course, I only dream the best."

Ryuu chuckles at that, and makes his way over to give Kuroo his goodmorning kiss on the head.
"Now tell me why were you by the window?"

He pulls the other to sit in his lap, Ryuu's arms immediately wrap around his waist.
"Honestly, I'm feeling a little homesick all of sudden."

"Since we both have a few days off, why don't we drive to Miyagi today?" Kuroo suggests.
"And maybe we can stay the night too so we can go see the Kamafuta lake?"

A snort comes from Ryuu "Sap."

"Hey! I'm trying to make you feel better! So pack your shit."

"Consider it packed"

Ryuu is visibly perked up, Kuroo likes to think he knows the way to a man's heart.
"I love you Tetsu"
"I love you too Ryuu, now pack your stuff."

"No lazy morning cuddles?" Ryuu gives him the best, cutest puppy face Kuroo has ever seen. Who is he to say no to that face.

"Fine, but only a little bit. Get in here" He lays back down and Ryuu cheers. He crawls under the covers and presses multiple kisses to Kuroo's face.

"Sometimes you're the best" He coos, making Kuroo scoff "Sometimes? I literally do everything for you!"

"Sure" he presses one final kiss to the bridge of his nose before Kuroo pulls his face into a proper kiss. The action makes Ryuu giggle and the other is happy to know he feels better.

"Alright now, we can cuddle more in Miyagi. Get up and pack your stuff boney ass"

"Boney?!"

And then they pack their things and get in the car. Ryuu plugs in the aux and plays their favourite travel list.

"We really need more travel lists" Ryuu comments as the list replays.
"True, we need new songs."

And so their fun day in Miyagi turns out better than anything planned.
They give Saeko and Akiteru a surprise visit, before they grab some food and head to Kamafuta.

"I missed this" Ryuu mumbles, picking flowers and tangling them into a flower crown, Kuroo enjoys the view.

"Hey Ryuu."

He gets a hum in response, his boyfriend still fiddling with the flowers. Perfect timing.
The former captain pulls out a paper and extends it to Ryuu.

"Oho? What's that?" He accepts it and hangs the crown around his wrist while reading.
Kuroo has never been very

good with words, especially when it comes to talking about his feelings to people he loves most.
So he writes letters, pours his heart out on the paper.

Ryuu's smile grows wider the longer he reads, then he exclaims "Holy shit Tetsurou!!" Grinning all the while.

"Let's have our wedding here!" He grabs Kuroo's hand with his free one, there's stars in his eyes as he says that and Kuroo's heart leaps.

"Yes!! Let's do it!"

"Holy fucking shit I love you! I would literally kill for you Tetsu"

"Who's the sap now?"

"Let me have my moment!"

Ryuu huffs and places the crown he made on Kuroo's head, moments before the other pulls him up to take a walk and hold hands.

Ryuu likes holding hands, Kuroo knows this is because his hands are soft and warm. Perfect temperature to melt Ryuu's ice cubes for hands.

And so the rest of the time they spent in Miyagi went smoothly. Saeko made dinner, sometimes Ryuu made it and then they all watched movies until four am.

It was relaxing.

But most importantly, Kuroo noticed how Ryuu's happiness increased, they should visit Miyagi more often.
