1.The reverence of Abu Lu’Lu’ah al-Majusi.

The second caliph of Islam was martyred by the magian slave, who is regarded as a Saint in Shi’ism. He is often referred to, as “Baba Shujah e Deen” (The Honourable Defender of the Religion).
2.The Betrayal of Al-Hussein ibn Ali in Kufa

After writing to him in their thousands, the Shi’a of Kufa left Al-Hussein upon his arrival near Iraq. Subsequently, he was never able to enter Kufa.
3.The Betrayal of Zaid b. Ali b. Al-Hussein ibn Ali.

Zaid’s rebellion against Hisham ibn Abd al-Malik was brutally crushed, after the Shi’a, who had promised to assist him, deserted from his side.
4.Shi’ite espionage against the Muslims

Al-Alkami, a Shi’ite diplomat, had been working as a spy on behalf of the Mongols, providing them with valuable information against the Caliphate, paving the way for a swift Mongol invasion.
5.The Mongol Invasion

The Mongol ransack of Baghdad (followed by Damascus) was famously supported by the Shi’a. This saw the defeat of the Islamic empire, at the time.

Al-Alkami, the cunning Shi’ite spy, laughed at the Caliph, as he was starved to his end.
6.The Fatimids & Salahuddin al-Ayyubi

The Fatimid (Ismaili) Shi’a dynasty allied with the Crusading forces, in an attempt to weaken Salahuddin and his quest to retake Jerusalem.
7.The Hassassin Shi’a Order of Iran

A small but effective Ismaili-Shi’a order, who were responsible for assassinating semi-prominent figures in the Islamic caliphate, further weakening it from within.

Their infamous name, gave birth to the English term, ‘Assassin’.
8.Tipu Sultan & the British

Tipu Sultan’s rule was interrupted, when a group of Shi’a were sent from Muradabad, on the request of the First Duke of Wellington, Arthur Wellesley, to ignite a rebellious opposition, near Iran.
9.Theft of Hajar al-Aswad

A group of Qarmatians, a heretical Shi’ite sect, entered Masjid al-Haram, shed the blood of the pilgrims and stole the black stone from the Ka’bah. It was returned after 22 years.
10.Forced Shi’a-Safavid conversion of Sunni Iran to Shi’ism.

•Sectarian Shi’a militias operating in Iraq & Syria, that recruit young fighters from across the Shi’a world.

•Demographic engineering of Syria and, to a lesser extent, Iraq.
•The Shi’a scholarship in Iraq, welcomed the American Invasion of 2003.
12. Ruler of Bengal, Mir Jafar Ali

The Twelver Shi’a general is famously remembered across the sub-continent for his handing over Bengal to the British, sparking the start of the colonisation of India.

He earned the infamous title, “Namak Haram” (The Traitor).
