I have to say: this 2018 appearance was on CNN. Meanwhile, there were progressive/liberal outlets that shunned Steve in recent years out of deference to the fashionable Cold War/Russiagate narrative he so brilliantly exposed. Their cowardice did their audiences a huge disservice.

Anyone remember when Steve's home camera was blurry for his interviews? I got him to buy a new one and went over to help him set it up, just over a year ago. He was very pleased with it. There were so many more interviews to do.

Steve could come off as pretty tough, but in fact he was a softie. An elite basketball player in his day, he coached and sponsored youth leagues up through his final years. He was a doting, dutiful cat owner. He would often interrupt phone calls just to make sure the cat was ok.
