Here's a web development trend I can get behind https://twitter.com/rubygeek/status/1307350614754590723
I feel like as in industry we've been throwing most of our collective weight behind figuring out how to build fast loading, accessible, maintainable SPAs for a full decade now

They still take significantly longer to build than multi page apps, and the results perform worse
Are you building a pure productivity tool like Gmail or Trello? Great, go all in on an SPA!

For most other other categories of web application multi-page will cost less to build and deliver a better, more robust experience
(And to be honest, I'd take a multi-page version of Gmail over their most recent SPA iteration. I feel like I spend more time waiting for it to load than I do interacting with my email)
