To be clear, you can never be late to this party. You are always welcome to join the fight. But goddamn, are you blind sometimes, and painfully so. What about when immigrant women have been forcibly separated from their children and uteruses?

When black women die preventable deaths at the hands of healthcare providers? When a pipeline threatens an entire people and arguably the planet (a pipeline that RBG votes in favor of)? When indigenous women disappear?

There has been so. Much. Pain. So much suffering. Roe v. Wade didn’t even do that much if we’re being honest - there are 8 places you can get an abortion in Texas. 8. Texas is fucking huge. That is totally inaccessible for poorer people.

But NOW our democracy is doomed? As if we haven’t been the second(ish) most privileged demographic to exist? Y’all. I am mad at you. I am hurting because all of a sudden something might affect you, so the world is ending. And believe me, I’m just as devastated about RBG.

But let’s be real. You’re gonna vote in November but ignore every primary other than presidential, forget that you have state & local legislators, and continue to ignore literal genocide and murder. So welcome to the party, I guess. But remember you’re really, really new here.
