We had to phone people to say their loved ones were dying and they couldn’t see them.

We had to treat terrified patients while wearing masks, visors, gowns, and aprons.

I’ve never seen friends and colleagues look so exhausted and broken.

At the peak my hospital was taking ambulances diverted from the other hospitals around because they were *running out of oxygen*.

Every single day our plan changed. Every single day another ward became a COVID ward or a new intensive care unit.
I recently heard a colleague who was hospitalised with COVID open up about their flashbacks to their experience and their genuine fear about the second wave.

How dare you stand there and call it a hoax. How dare you *deliberately* put us through that again.
