BTS introvert line explanation - a thread.

Jin - Social Introvert
Social introverts are the most outgoing and the most private. They don’t tend to be shy in public (or in Jin’s case, his shyness doesn’t do anything to his confidence), but they feel emotionally drained if they stay out for too long.

While Jin likes spending time alone, he still wants a few close friends he can depend on and he tends to be the most social among this group of friends (the members).

Some people would assume that Jin is an extrovert when they see how he behaves with the members, but social introverts won’t share much about themselves to anyone apart from their closest friends. (This is why we don’t know Jin as much, you could say).

Jungkook - Thinking introvert
Thinking introverts (just like social introverts) also don’t mind socialising. Though, they don’t tend to do so often because they’re lost in their own little world. When you see Jungkook zoning out (this is where ‘jungshook’ came from)

during interviews and such, it’s because he’s daydreaming. Thinking introverts are also very introspective and therefore, are more in tune with their feelings than the average person (thinking about how Jungkook cried when he wrote that letter for armys

and how Jimin said he cries easily during movies ). They also prefer to experience their thoughts, rather than taking the time and explain them to others.

Yoongi - Shy/restrained introvert
I think Yoongi has a little of all these types of introvert, but the main ones are shy introvert and restrained introvert.
Shy/anxious introvert crave solitude even when they’re with their close friends (when Yoongi doesn’t appear

with the other members, this is the reason why. He just wants to be alone). They’re extremely uncomfortable in new or large social situation and some develop social anxiety from this. Yoongi has mentioned this in The Last and how he hid in the bathroom from a performance because

he couldn’t handle being around so many people due to his social anxiety at the age of 18 (‘I was scared of people’). They also tend to analyse or overthink their behaviour whenever they’re in public due to their shyness (e.g when the camera is on Yoongi and he gets shy ).

Nowadays I think Yoongi’s more of a restrained introvert; they are more reserved, thoughtful and don’t like change. They prefer doing many hobbies at home, rather than being socially active. In Yoongi’s case, we can see this year (especially from in the soop) that

he picked many activities to do. For example, he loves reading books and learning (such as psychology and calculus ). He also said he picked up guitar and played around 6 hours (minimum) a day. These restrained introverts prefer relaxing by themselves;

they find comfort in doing this and they also find it difficult to get their mind and body moving right after they wake up.

Anywho, this is my interpretation of the introvert line. You might think differently but that’s fine. Here’s taegi being cute.

In case any of y’all are wondering, there are 4 types of introverts. Social, Thinking, Anxious and Restrained. I’ve explained all of them! I think I’m a thinking introvert.

+ Idk if this is necessary but Jungkook was a shy introvert in the beginning (around 2013). He didn’t really socialise that much but from Begin, he talks about how the members, specifically tae in some cases, has helped him to be more social eventually.

I’m worried that some people will think I’m overanalysing as a fan. I just wanted to say that this is based off what the members have said and the behaviour they have shown. The type of introvert they are doesn’t mean they cannot be social or shy on other days, for example.

I don’t want you to think I am limiting them as a person in this thread. I just wanted to provide some insight in the different types of introverts there are.

(side note): I mainly got the info from their music (e.g yg’s mixtape, begin) and what the members have said about each other (e.g Hobi saying that Jin is the type of person to hide his feelings/thoughts and not say how he’s really feeling). I didn’t base this on their ‘personas’
