Right. We need to have a chat about the doctor. She is not a centrist, she is not looking for balance. She is a problem and a danger to vulnerable people.
When George Hook came out and victim blamed a woman who was gang raped in a hotel in the UK, people rightly called for his resignation. Not Dr Kelly, she instead wrote an essay defending him and refused to sign an internal petition asking for him to be fired.
In 2019 she wrote an article, criticising @PhelanVicky and others who were affected by the cervical check scandal. She said “It is a public health success story, despite its limitations. If it is sued into oblivion, who will benefit?"

Yesterday she cited 14 cases in ICU as a reason for no lockdown, rather than highlighting that this is just the initial signal of the virus growing again and our health system being overrun. She is a medical doctor!
She engaged in dangerous homophobic pile on of Roderic O'Gorman, emboldening the National Party and Hermann Kelly, who she has had on her show, to hold a protest where people held up a banner with nooses on them

I've my own experience with her too, she cannot be trusted with victims stories. I was asked to come on anonymously and tell the story of my rape. I did so, and I was grateful for the opportunity, as victims are empowered by other victims sometimes.
Anyway two weeks later I was on as part of coverage of the Not Consent march in Dublin. I was there as a rep of AASVI, to talk about how victims are treated by the court system. She blindsided me by saying "Linda you've had your own experience of rape, did you report your rape?"
I had not disclosed my rape to my parents, and my father was listening, while I looked at her horrified, down the side alley by Penney's in O'Connell St, as she did that. Imagine explaining to your 80 year old dad about how he had to find out about his child's rape on the radio
I'm sure there's plenty of examples I'm forgetting, and I'm sure others will add their examples of how she is not a moderate voice for Ireland. She is self serving, and neoliberal. She chose her side a long time ago.
