McConnell and the Republicans **do not care** if you call them hypocrites. You think they don’t know?

They respond only to strength. So get strong, Democrats. Be fearless.

Be ruthless.

Stand up, @SenFeinstein and @SenSchumer. Stand up, NOW.
Yes, Republicans made up their own rules to stop Merrick Garland. They won’t tie their hands with those rules now.

It’s up to good Americans to do what we didn’t do then — which is to halt a game with no rules.

If they try to move forward, everything else must stop.
McConnell must be shown that he cannot keep crashing this country into walls, can’t keep shattering its mechanism, and still expect it to function.

Senate Democrats must identify every leverage point, and put their full weight on them to grind all business to a stop.
There is no “if” here. We know what they will do.

They think they know what we will do, which is grumble about hypocrisy and then curl up.

We need our leaders to show us how we can peacefully but uncompromisingly maximize pressure.

It needs to start now. Tonight.
The House of Reps has no official say in Supreme Court nominations...

But @SpeakerPelosi — nothing should move in that chamber if Republicans ram a nomination through this close to an election.

McConnell must see he can’t break the American system and expect it to keep working.
This is not “obstruction,” this is not even “resistance.”

This is insisting on rules, insisting on norms. They must be followed, honored, and if they’re not then we can’t proceed on anything.

Republicans can’t shatter America’s foundations and expect cooperation.
Those who are secretly giddy about this are publicly saying, “now is not the time...” That’s a ploy. Ignore it.

We can mourn and fight at the same time.

THAT is how you honor the legacy or Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Are you listening, @SenSchumer & @SenFeinstein?
