I really hate that I can't run a Kickstarter and hire on a bunch of writers to make a sincerely terrifying D&D adventure set in the Forgotten Realms.

The idea of making a story that slots into these big official releases is the dream.

Always about funding, tho. Ugh.
Like "Ten Tales for Ten-Towns" where myself and 9 writers from Rime of the Frostmaiden each present HORRIFYING adventures from the frozen heart of icewind dale.

Or "The Fall of Grace" - where five writers tell a horror story set in Luskan about 7 insane nightmarish fallen angels
I generally pay very well for contributions to my PDFs and drop, on average, $200+ on cover art alone. Since I try to maintain affordability for my PDFs, that means a THIN margin in terms of profit. Usually only in the black at Silver bestseller or better.
