After 2 years of lobbying by 9, we may have a new household member.

We're trying this guy out to make sure he and drama cat don't murder each other. He's 3 months old and is going to be a bouncy, big boy.

Drama cat is *NOT* impressed.

9 has been mulling names.
He seems comfortable.
Dog wore out 9.
9 just came up from his second night of camping out by pup's crate to inform me that our canine friend is a snorer and is on his own for the night. 😂
Last night was rough (ruff?). Pup was generally fine and mostly slept through the night.

Drama cat, however, took this as her golden opportunity to express her displeasure by waking everyone up every 15-30 minutes. 😐

You all do not want to see me on video today.
At the farmer's market it became obvious that pup needs more socialization with other dogs, so off to the dog park.

He really wanted to play but it took him a bit to work up to it.
Activate Saturday evening movie snuggle mode.
Pupdate: there is a lot of dog in my lap.
Guardpup-in-training
Pup approves of Capisic Pond.
The dog pooped in my bedroom. 😐
Cat, still not impressed.
He does have a pretty forgivable face.
Cat, even less impressed.

It's been a barky, high-conflict morning for the pets today as pup gets more comfortable and bold, and drama cat feels more intruded upon.
May we all experience the joy of tag with a puppy today.
The potato problem appears to have experienced cross-species contagion.

Pup is a fan.
Pup is also a fan of trash day.
Our house was built in 1910, it has a lot of character, and a lot of "character."

One quirk is that any volume of liquid on the bathroom floor goes through the floor down through the kitchen.

We have a few ceiling tiles pulled so no damage happens while we resolve this.
So anyway...I was in the kitchen making lunch and the dog peed on my head.

Good times.
Pup is settling in to dog park rules.
Drama cat, expressing dog displeasure from her underground lair.

Happy #Caturday
9: we need more paper towels

Me: there are 4 rolls in the pack in the basement

9: those are all gone

M: they were there 2 hours ago

9, with perfect air quotes: we had what you might call a "situation"

M: do I want to know

9: no

M: I'm taking a shower, fix it before I'm out
A housepet tale (tail?) of conflict in 4 acts.
Run-away cheerios.
We are trying to bribe the cat, with duck at the people table, into giving pup a shot.
Me: you have to close doors to rooms you are not using to limit puppy shenanigans

9: he won't get into trouble

Me: uh-huh, that's not how puppies work

Also me: add "clean bathtub" to your chore list
Pup has more patience for kids being in class than kids have for kids being in class.
