i'm very tired of all the hand wringing from cis people about how to continue ethically enjoying harry potter because at the end of the day it's just not a very good series. if you set aside your childhood nostalgia it's just not great. there's so much better YA fantasy

like yeah, i was OBSESSED with the series in elementary school. i went to all the movies opening day. i read all the books and got the new ones day one. i had all the lego sets. i dressed up as hp characters for halloween TWICE

but now i'm 26 and it's just not that good, folks

go read some discworld novels instead

you're not gonna get a pat on the back from trans people for saying you're gonna wait to buy the hogwarts game used. just play something else. i know the nostalgia over the imagery of the movies is a powerful drug but there's no shortage of video games about witches and wizards
