As someone with ADHD I feel I have a take on this.

a) my ADHD isn't debilitating but it is impactful. Luckily I have found supports, including medication to manage this. But I can certainly see how severe ADHD (which is a diagnosis) can be debilitating. #abed #ableg https://twitter.com/MattWolfAB/status/1305932875141804038

b) Having navigated the health care system it is incredibly difficult to be taken seriously as an adult with diagnosed ADHD. I was denied supports and medication that wouldn't be denied of other conditions.

I can see how having to navigate this system can be debilitating #ableg

c) The #abed system is improving in their approach to students with ADHD but common conversations include whether a student needs coding or an IPP if medication is solving the problem. Having a disability doesn't disappear if there are supports to help with it #abed #ableg
