Thanks for all the nice words on the Malika Andrews' piece, I wanted to share some more words about one of Andrews' colleagues acting the right way, which is not always the case among sports reporters.
When Malika was given her first sideline assignment, Cassidy Hubbarth went out of her way to tell her how to do the job, prepare her notes, navigate the floor, etc.

It is a little thing, but nice; especially because a lot of people look at anyone doing a similar job as a threat.
But this is where I thought was particularly nice in a field where a lot of folks are about "me" as opposed to "we." When the Bucks came back for their first game after they protested, Hubbarth was originally assigned to be on the sideline for the game.
It is a high profile assignment so a "me" person would only think about the stage, not what is best for coverage. Malika had covered the Bucks when she first got to ESPN. So Cassidy called Tim Corrigan, the head of ESPN's NBA game coverage to say that Malika should do that game.
