Chris Rock is probably saying out loud what many are thinking. He's an idiotic 5 year old. The Democrats are the only adults in the room. Therefore, ultimately all our problems (including the pandemic) are their fault.

As early as October, Joe Biden was warning that this roll back had left the US unprepared for a global health security risk:

In May, Congress (which is led by a Democratic majority), passed a major bill that would mitigate the effects of the pandemic. Democrats in Congress have held hearings to try to impact the government's pandemic response, but ultimately the US president manages agencies like the Center for Disease Control.
In short, Chris Rock's comments only make sense if you ignore facts and misunderstand the way our government actually works. /fin
