One of our team spends so much time on Instagram, they says ‘Swipe up for more info’ instead of goodbye.

Everything in @TheMERL is now an absolute unit. Including the staff. We’ve even had to change the names on their campus cards.

One of our team has an old phone. We all know social apps can be a real drain on the ol’ battery. Which is why they charge their phone through their fingertips. Have you read Naomi Alderman’s ‘The Power’? Yeah, like that. Only for charging phones.

We saw one of @UniRdg_Library’s team cut themselves once. Pretty sure they were bleeding ink. That’s dedication to the written word.

In all seriousness, this is an amazing job – we get to talk to you lovely lot all day, learn about new research and help some of the best students. We even get paid to pun. Imagine.

But it wouldn’t be possible without our amazing SMMs across UoR. They’re the real heroes here.
