I saw someone say that they thought it was wrong to take away a "woman's right to choose" when it comes to abortion, even if they think its a mistake... But then said they're voting for Trump solely cause they're Pro-life. Make it make sense.
So many conservatives act like being pro-choice is pro-abortion. What do yall think the word choice in pro-choice means??? It just means people have options, whether you agree with which route they take or not.
At this point in my life, I wouldn't get an abortion if we accidentally got pregnant, even though we're not really ready for a kid. But that's easy to say because I'm married, I love my partner, he has a good job, and I know we'd have the support of our families.
But when I was assaulted and possibly raped (I became unconscious so I don't know) in college, I often that about what I would do if it turned out he had raped me and I was pregnant. I was depressed, traumatized and I had an eating disorder.
I couldn't decide which would be worse, dealing with screaming pro lifers at a clinic calling me a murderer, or carrying my rapist's baby while trying to get through school and having those same pro lifers stare at me with disdain and disgust.
Honestly, I thought I'd probably kill myself if faced with those options. I was lucky, I wasn't pregnant. And I never had to make that choice. But everyone deserves the right to choose and have safe options. Banning abortions does not save any lives.
