Vito encouraged ALL of us to back and check the articles about his dangerous clubs and illegal parties. So, uh, we did. And here's what we found...

It's a THREAD! https://twitter.com/VitoBruno718/status/1305707991379988480
In SPIN Magazine, Vol. 3, No. 6. 1987, Vito said of his own club, “If we’d go through the night and no one would get shot, that was a success.”

In "Wired: The Short Life & Fast Times of John Belushi," Vito Bruno told Bob Woodward: “We got two grams of coke and two black beauties for him [that night].”

Now he says he was misquoted. Sorry, but what could he have possibly meant?
NYT, 1994. The community intervened to shut down one of his rowdy, dangerous clubs.

One fed-up neighbor said: "Sleep was virtually impossible Friday & Saturday nights between 1-5 A.M. & residents were fearful to venture into the streets."

There were 5 shootings in the vicinity
Confronted with these facts, Vito ACTUALLY said:

"'We've been given a bum rap, and the noise will still be there when we're gone.' He accused critics of opposing it 'for racial reasons,' because many of the club's patrons were black and Hispanic."
SERIOUSLY?

This from the guy running such a despicable dog-whistle, fear-mongering, divisive campaign that it would make Trump blush?

His views sure have changed a lot.

Care to share why, Vito?

Couldn’t have anything to do with you wanting to get elected at all costs?
Look. It’s about character. When you go back & read these articles, think about what kind of person you want representing you in the State Senate:

The person who will do or say anything to benefit himself, or the person who has spent his life giving back?
