MP: Member of Parliament, elected by constituents across X amount of divisions. Imagine the constituency like a cake and the cake is cut into a number of pieces, each piece is a division.
Caretaker: When someone runs as a candidate for the MP role and loses, they're now the Caretaker for the constituency.

Councillor: Elected by the members of a division. If I have this right, they are first selected to run by delegates then there's a vote. (someone clarify pls)
A Councillor can also run as a Candidate for MP role. IF they lose, they are both Caretaker and Councillor. We call them Councillor Caretaker.

A Councillor can apply for funding to have works done in the constituency by the Govt.
