Someone sent me a cold email today pitching their services and I’m probably going to bite. It is also one of the best ones I’ve ever received so I’m sharing it to show you all the things they did right.

A: goes straight to the point on letting me know their expertise and who they help. They were succinct and clear.

This is critical!

B: they tell me exactly what they want to do for me and why it is important.

By the end of the first paragraph, I was probably already interested and so this made me read on.

C: they go on to tell me they know about my work. They like it so much that they even bought into it.

Yes, I cross checked with our member register, they are a member. By this point, I was probably already 95% sold.

Showing interest in the person/business is key!

D: they not only tell me what they noticed, and now fixing it will help me, they also SHOW me an example of something they have done.

At this point after going to the link, I was already 100% sold.

Please always share a link of something you have done. Don’t just tell, show!

E: they whip in our mission statement and how it resonates. To be honest, I was already sold before I got here but it was a great touch.

(If I were writing this email, I’ll put this upfront though).

F. They sent an actual report! And it was so detailed (which I could share). They combed each page and told use what was wrong and what could be better.

(If I were writing this report, I’ll also include what is working so it is not just 100% critical).

I’ll give this cold email 8/10. It is excellent! And to the person that sent it, well done. I liked it a lot. And thank you for joining the @scalemyhustle community.
