I spoke during a webinar yesterday and found myself “preaching” and not being my usual chipper, optimistic self . But sometimes it’s necessary. I have to add to this #thread.

The reality is a lot of Boutique owners are getting bad information from “newbie #entrepreneurs” who appear successful on social media, saying to “launch before you’re ready” or “buy a few pieces and see what sells” for your #ecommerce shop.

I beg you to stop listening to people on the same “level” in business as you, as you fail and figure out things together. Listen to people who have worked at or in the level you want to be. If you want to hit a million with your shop, work with someone who has hit $10M. #smb

You also must understand that your business is a #RETAIL business, not a service business where you make up all the details around your operations.
You are a part of the retail industry.There are processes,strategies,terminology that you must learn to survive in this business.

Whoever said that you can launch a retail business with no capital is telling a complete lie. And no, you can’t accomplish that through #Dropshipping (you have to spend to out advertise the competition).

#Retail is about selling product. Without product you have no revenue. Without revenue, you close. How can you make $10k if you don’t have at least $5k to spend on inventory? How can you keep customers if you aren’t constantly bringing in new merch? NewsflashYou can’t.

If you don’t have the capital to run this type of business,stop & shut it down until you do. You will save money & time in the long run. Doesn’t mean you failed. It means you had the foresight to learn the business & relaunch as the force you intended to be in the first place.
