The Obamas want to be celebrities so bad. The JayZ & Beyonce of politics with an Oprah-esque persona thrown in. The problem with that is that you can't be a (successful) celeb without a significant fan base to buy the product your pushing. The democratic base most likely 1/x
to buy crap (young people) are across the board pissed at Barack for not pushing for policies to stabilize them as they graduate college & enter into a depressed work economy. The same can be said of millineals who really can't stand him because our age demographic really 2/x
came out and voted for this man. And then there's Black America, particularly ADOS, who are just done with The Obamas. Black boomers & older will never let go of The Obamas as a group. Gen X is a toss up (lol). But ADOS millineals and younger? Can't stand them. 3/x
Barack & Michelle (yes, her too) gave speeches that victim blamed Black America for our problems. As president, Barack did everything to politically reassure white America that he is "the president of all Americans". Et cetera & so on. 4/x
And now, here those two are, in a post Obama presidency with national protest centered on the racial reality of police brutality of ADOS, the economic collapse of ADOS, a Reparations movement and awakening of Black America to intentional inadequacies of Barack's presidency. 5/x
Part of being a celeb is following & capitalizing off of trends (celebs don't set trends, they chase them). And how do The Obamas capitalize off of the current landscape when they spent their entire time in the whitehouse downplaying race in America? 6/x
Fuck The Obamas.

I expect this little book of Barack's to be full of dodging, liability shifting and a whole bunch of "I never said I can fix everything". He may throw a paragraph towards Black America. But it'll be a huge "fuck off" to those who dare to criticize him. 7/7
