So we’ve been doing some digging:

JK Rowling does not get a single penny from any Harry Potter games. WB owns the copyright for the Harry Potter games so they will get the royalties from game sales, not her.

So if you were concerned about wanting to play Hogwarts Legacy but not wanting to fill her pockets, be at ease. She won’t get a penny.

From our other internet findings it seems that JK sold the rights to WB for the movies and games and makes her money from her books, theme parks and the HP plays.
