Looking at the most recent songs, "Kick" and "Punch",
"Kick" is defined as a way to awake from a dream. We often wake up from dreams by experiencing a huge shock in the dream, such as falling from a high place, and this is termed as a "Kick".

When you dream, in order for your brain to get a rest, your abilities are lowered drastically, and hence the time and yourself in dreams flows really slowly, compared to reality. Due to this, even if you put in full force to throw a punch, it will end up as a telegraphic punch.
Even though you can't feel that it is slowed down in a dream, your brain retains a portion of reality that stays awake even as you dream, and hence you will be able to feel the disjunction between dream and reality, which is the theme NCT's theories are based on
The song Day Dream(白日夢) - the definition of Daydream means a fruitless imagination. It is where you fulfil your greed and desire that may not be able to happen in real life. It is defined as a way for humans to deal with this greed, but it is a form of escapism.
Although it is an effective way to deal with the dissatisfaction towards reality, there is a danger that if this becomes habitual, one will feel distanced from reality. It is essential for one to be conscious to not engage in escapism while one daydreams.
The lyrics to Daydream allude to a "new world" where the persona "falls in deeper" and "does not want to wake up" - escapism rather than a coping mechanism.
In "interlude : neo zone" the lyrics tell of someone that has fallen in too deep with dreaming and is rejecting return to reality.
Here we examine the keywords of these comebacks. "player", "trauma".
Multiplayer Dreaming = shared dream, connecting nervous systems. In NCTmentary, the theory of shared dreams is widely discussed, and the general consensus is that all the "players" are in the same dreamscape

A danger of multiplayer dreaming or shared dreams is that you may end up traumatized and confused about if you are yourself. The lyrics of Interlude allude to this with "I can't be you"
MAD DOG's lyrics refer to a "grey city" which can be seen in the MV for Regular. The city is lit up by red lights and you can see human silhouettes. The next lyrics in Mad Dog is "shout it, mea culpa". mea culpa = my crime
The only relation "mea culpa" has is in Welcome To My Playground. The original title for this was supposed to be Welcome to my funeral - inviting someone to a dead city could be that crime. What is the relation between dream and death?
