In less than a month the village of Burin witnessed arson attacks on hundreds of trees and dunoms of land!

The village of Burin lies southwest the city of Nablus, it is surrounded by several settlements thus it witnesses recurrent trespass and aggressive attacks

of settler-related violence including but not limited to sabotage, vandalism, and arson.
To that end, Yitzhar settlement, south of Burin, used to be a military checkpoint in 1983 and turned into a fully-fledged settlement by 1984. (2)
Statistics reveal that by 2014, Yatsahar settlement illegally seized over 1248 dunoms (1248 thousand square meters) from Burin alone for expansion purposes, not to mention the neighboring villages. (3)
Followed by Har Brakha settlement, North of Burin, and the outpost of Giv'at Ronen, East of Burin, which is in close proximity to Palestinian homes thus rendering them vulnerable to settler-related aggression attacks.

Burin farmers and inhabitants are constantly under state backed settler attacks including but not limited to Praedial larceny (crop theft), as well as crop and land arson.

Moreover, the olive harvest season is usually a high season of violent acts of aggression where even international volunteers come under attack.

saw a huge spread for several hours to hundreds of dunums southern Burin rendering 150 ancient olive trees (70+ years old) across 150 dunums burnt down to ashes.
