This is completely false.

The rebellion was started by an Ngwa woman in Oloko, which is today in Ikwuano, Abia State; It spread to areas in Utu-Etim, Calabar, Opobo, Akwa Ibom areas etc

Opobo was the Provisional HQ.
Owerri was the Province
Bende was the District office then. https://twitter.com/VintageMAk/status/1306340199388123149
Aba was a commerical centre and was quite popular and of course close to Oloko.

About 10,000 women revolted in Oloko area demanding the sack of their warrant Chief, Okugo 'cos he had harrassed Nwayeruwa, who started the riot.

At this time, District officers were also taking
an assessment of taxable properties owned by women in neighboring areas.

Women were connected through the markets ,trade and unions and that was why news spread really quickly.

By December, more than 1,500 women in Opobo joined in and marched to the District.
It was very painful here because they opened fire on them and killed quite a number. Around 50 or so.

The war didn't happen in a day, it reached it's climax in Opobo District.
