After the hype of the #FinalFantasyXVI reveal at the #PS5Showcase yesterday, which I think was kind of expected but also a surprise, I& #39;ve gathered some more info which, in my opinion, is pretty promising for what we can expect from the new title in this legendary series:
- Square Enix& #39;s Creative Business Unit III which is lead by Naoki Yoshida (Yoshi P) seems to have been working on #FinalFantasyXVI for about a year.
- Yoshi P is leading as producer of this game, with Hiroshi Takao as the game Director
- Creative Business Unit III has previously worked the "online" main FF titles, #FinalFantasyXI and were responsible for the reworking and ultimate success of the hit MMO, #FinalFantasyXIV
- They also developed #DragonQuestBuilders
- The game seems to be following the trend on focusing on action combat as we& #39;ve seen with the last 2 FF titles in the series in #FinalFantasyXV and #FFVIIRemake
- About a year ago, Square Enix hired former Capcom designer Ryota Suzuki to work on XVI as part of the team
- Ryuta Suzuki was most recently a designer on #DMC5 which had some of the best action combat in a game in recent years
- He also, previously, was gameplay lead on Dragon& #39;s Dogma and design lead on the enhanced version of the game; Dragon& #39;s Dogma: Dark Arisen
- The game is being developed as a console exclusive for the #PS5 https://abs.twimg.com/hashflags... draggable="false" alt=""> , however, it is also being developed for PC. Whether the game will be release simultaneously on both platforms, remains to be seen

The next big news we can expect to hear on #FinalFantasyXVI will be in 2021
Overall I& #39;m very optimistic about the development direction of the game. What we& #39;ve seen is more than what most expected and it all looks very promising so far. Can& #39;t wait to speculate on everything we& #39;ve seen!
