disclaimer; i am no expert nor perfect these tips just rlly helped me esp since i am not used to online classes.
1: use speech, if you want to get information faster highlight the text you want and press speech, while it is reading your text follow through with your eyes so that you comprehend the information more.
2: highlight. you probably know this but you can highlight your e-modules or books. i use mac and it’s like this but if you are using windows or any other app/site like google docs you can easily look up how to highlight with that platform. this helps with retention of keywords.
here are yt tutorial links on windows & google docs.

— google docs
— windows 10

if these doesn’t work for you you can look them up on youtube depending on your laptop’s software/ application.
3: pomodoro method. this is pretty common, but the pomodoro method is doing 25 minutes of work, and 5 minutes of rest. this way your eyes can rest every after 25 minutes. DON’T USE YOUR PHONE DURING THE 5 MINUTE REST ! sit down, relax your, back and close your eyes to rest.
4: write stuff down. whether you are writing down keywords or general terms it helps because you are more likely to retain that information when you write it down. kewl fact: writing a word once, is equivalent to saying it 7 times.
5: make to do lists. whether it is simple tasks like “download __file” add it! this way finishing small tasks makes you feel like you are having progress and you feel motivated.
6: do shit earlier. this is sorta hypocritical for me bc i procrastinate too, but for the times that i don’t it feels so much better to just lie down in bed finished with all of your work. if you can’t finish a task earlier that’s okay but what i recommend is START it earlier.
7: organize your files. school files can easily pile up so it is important to always ALWAYS have specific folders for things.
8 : take care of yourself and de-stress. this is my top tip because i feel like we can easily get dragged into the blackhole of overthinking & anxiety, i know i do. so it’s super important to take a breather every now and then. watch a youtube video or an episode, whatever helps.
use this gif if you need a simple breathing exercise, short youtube videos are also very useful.

extra tip 1: lmao if you are using a mac and want this clock as your screen saver i downloaded it from this site đŸ„° i think they also have it for windows? i’m not sure though.

extra tip 2: DO NOT MUTE UR CLASS GROUPCHATS I KNOW ITS TEMPTING BUT DON’T DO IT BECAUSE YOU MIGHT MISS INFORMATION OR SCHOOLWORKS THAT NEED TO BE PASSED !!
again, i am no perfect human being, i have my array of procrastination, anxiety, overthinking and netflix binges without doing any work done. but that’s totally okay and valid! i hope this helps, you got this!!! i am rooting for you!!
