To give some perspective on why many trans folks like me are so frustrated by continued support for J.K. Rowling and her works, she's not just A transphobe, she's THE transphobe.

She is the celebrity face of the anti trans movement. She's the saviour transphobes point to.
Since Rowling went full public transphobe, she's basically taken the place that Glinner used to have. the public face of transphobia, the celebrity face used to give a community's hateful views an air of legitimacy.
This is why it sucks so much, seeing folks find justifications to still purchase X, Y, and Z Harry Potter products she's set to profit financially from.

It's financially supporting THE public face of anti trans sentiment.
Yes, I get she has like infinite money already and boycotts won't hurt her much.

I get people other than her worked hard on that Harry Potter game.

I still wish people would take a stand against supporting brands created by THE celebrity transphobe.
Also, side note, she's not the only transphobe associated with Harry Potter. Robbie Coltrain (Hagrid) the other day started doing interviews about his hatred of trans folks.
Rowling donates money to further the cause of rolling back trans rights.

She wants people like me legislated out of existance.

So yeah, I'm going to be a little pissed if people go "YAAAAAY, Harry Potter" without acknowledging who made it.
I am not asking much. Buy it still if you want. But if you're going to talk excitedly about it, maybe do with with an acknowledgement of the shitty creator that profits off it.
To be clear, I was a huge fan of the Harry Potter books. I played Harry in a pantomime as a kid, ~I turned up to midnight book launches in costume, went to midnight film screenings, was as big a fan as I could be.

I would be all over this game if not for Rowling.
Some Rowling transphobia facts in case you missed them.

She believes trans men are lesbians forced to chop their breasts off due to peer pressure.

She believes autistic trans people are incapable of informed consent to transition, and treats us like we're mentally compromised.
I get that this sucks for the developers. They seemingly started development of this game before Rowling's transphobia was clear and undeniable

They are undeniably in a shitty situation. I'd love to see WB make some kind of statement, acknowledge their situation somewhat.
