A small thread about #Kalyanakarnataka
-As you all know today is a historic day for the people of Hyderabad Karnataka region. Nizam rule ended this region saved from inhuman Razakars and integrated to independent India. 1/n

HK is 23% of Geographical area, 18% of state Population.
It is the driest region in Karanataka. it is having 23% of state uncultivated area. we have low literacy rate compared to state Average and national average. 2/n

The fact is that it is the land where Vachana Sahitya originated but it stands last in literacy rate in the state. every year these districts will be in last postion in 10th and PU results. We waited 50 years to get special status under 371J 3/n

371J was passed in 2013, Hope created in people, According to which 75% reservation in HK region for group A and group B employment. 80% for group C and 100% for group D. HK started to improve after 2013 but in a very very slow pace comapred to other parts of the state 4/n

According to the report of Dr.Nanjundappa commitee in 2014 out of 31 taluks, 21 are most backward, 5 are more Backward and 2 are Backward shockingly only 3 taluks were relatively developed Bidar, Hospet and Bellary. All the other taluks are Backward. 5/n

I'm from Hagaribommanahalli taluk Bellary district. My taluk is under most Backward taluk. Most of the people who know me don't know my taluk exists. They only know Hospet Hampi and Bellary. 6/n

I have seen people in my taluk who's wage is less than 1k per month. Hoping for the development of my taluk and this region. Every investment goes to southern part of the state. Hope state and centarl Govts focus on development these regions . #Kalyanakarnataka
