Anyone knows of a DIY Arduino / RaspberryPI project for precisely measuring noise levels outdoors? I find many projects called "decibel meter" but they only light up LEDs. I& #39;d like to log values to show how annoying some motorbikes can be in some cities. #city #noise
To get more context about why I& #39;m asking for this, see this e-mail exchange with the city council of Palma de Mallorca about noise: https://pastebin.com/6FvtwUe7 ">https://pastebin.com/6FvtwUe7&... (English) or https://pastebin.com/4HCPtLF9 ">https://pastebin.com/4HCPtLF9&... (Español) #city #noise
My thought was that if the city council does nothing about it, one could present noise measurements and plate numbers of offending vehicles and send a complaint. I did some recordings, I& #39;ll share some examples in this thread.
Oh https://sensor.community/en/ ">https://sensor.community/en/"... has a noise module! Reading about it at https://sensor.community/en/sensors/ ">https://sensor.community/en/sensor...
This seems to be
the noise sensor, currently in beta: https://sensor.community/en/sensors/dnms/">https://sensor.community/en/sensor...
