Thing I’ve learned while recovering from childhood trauma:
The voices in your head that belittle you are not your own. We often internalize the voice of our abusers when we’re young & as we grow up we can’t differentiate from our own internal dialogue and their past abuse.

So that voice in your head saying:
You’re not good enough or stupid or unlovable
Is lying. It’s not even you. It’s a ghost from your past trying to keep you from living your best life.

It’s easier said than done, but you gotta let thag shit go. Everytime you start putting yourself down challenge those thoughts. Sometimes I even like to pretend that it’s everyone I love crowding around that negative voice telling it to shut the fuck up.
You are lovable. You CAN do anything you put your mind to. & THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU. I repeat THERE’S
NOTHING
WRONG
WITH
YOU. No one’s perfect. Extend grace and kindness to yourself in the same way you extend it to others.

ANYWAYZ hope my manic rambling made sense. Felt called to write it all out. You really do deserve love & fogiveness & compassion. & yes I really do mean YOU person that was reading this. Out of all the tweets you could see, you’re seeing this one. It’s a sign. Love yourself.
