Most people aren’t angry at Jesus.
They are angry at the people who have misrepresented him.

Most people aren’t fed up of Jesus.
They are fed up with how people who say they know him behave.

So I think if someone says they want to get to know him outside of these, it’s vital.
Let them, be respectful of it, allow them get to know this Jesus that is incredibly amazing.

Most people do not leave the Church because of Jesus.
It’s not him that is causing them to leave.

It’s the people who have screamed Jesus and gone on to act OPPOSITE OF WHO HE IS.
It’s the people who act like they are better than them because they do not understand some things, it’s the ones who condescend when someone isn’t ‘in their league of belief’.

Maybe you do not see it but you, yes you are the reason some people are tired of being ‘Christian’.
You might be past your point of knowing Jesus for yourself, you might have returned back to fellowship.
This is great.

This always happens when you really discover who your father is, when you really learn love and the ability to extend grace too.

But respect people’s journeys
We forget so soon that not too long ago those journeys were ours.

It’s ok if it was never yours, it’s ok if you never had to leave to find him.

But not too long ago I wasn’t Christian, if we’re being honest I was an atheist too.

Pray that they search for him properly.
Pray that they find love too true, pray that they find the calmness of him, the one who doesn’t condemn them for getting pregnant, the one who corrects them like a father, the Jesus that you’ve fallen in love with, the one who isn’t breathing hell down their throats every minute.
The one who isn’t blackmailing them into belief so they avoid hell fire.

Maybe most of you don’t realize but the people who finally come home and STAY do not do it from the sermons that tell them they’ll go to hell.

I sure as hell didn’t.
I said “let’s kuku go to hell & rest”
Love found me and looked past where I was, love wanted to be my friend without condescending and telling me I was going to hell.

When I found Jesus 2 years after it was because of the person who first loved me.
The first bible I ever actually read was from her 2years prior.
It’s not Jesus people are tired of, it’s the portrayal of him.
The manipulation using his name, the ill mannered actions, the hate ‘in the name of Jesus’, the ‘you can’t sit with me’.

This is what people are tired of.
So let them find him genuinely, it’ll lead them back here.
