Okay so I did a bit of research (googled basically) but could not find anything on CHAMBA Valley

*How places in Lusaka got their names. A small thread đŸ‘‡đŸŸ
Mandevu - place where a lot of Zimbabweans with long beards lived
Kanyama - place where a lot of butcheries were
Makeni - Mc Kenny - farmer that owned the whole of present day Makeni

???seriously???😂😂😂
Misisi - The house of the missus

Garden - Where missus had her garden
N’gombe - where the cows were kept

Matero-means slope and the compound with this name is found at the top of a slope.
Chawama- was originally called Roberts but renamed Chawama meaning happy after Zambia got independence.

Chilenje- this place was a big village for lenjes and they could only speak lenje. It was originally called Ku-ulenje but changed to Chilenje.
Kuku-This was a farm originally for Mr Cook but could only be pronounced as Mr Kuku.

Mtendere-Was a place which was known for being quiet kwati ku mayard and so people would say kwamtendere . Thus Mtendere means peace.
