I think some people fail to understand that Im looking for comradeship and not friendship. I have the intimate relationships I already require and don’t have spoons for more. Im also not looking for fans and acolytes; again I want comrades, people to fight for revolution with.
And yes some people form comradeship around friendships but i dont. Or I seldom do. I don’t think it’s required. I dnt like meeting folk and I know my expectations is political and Im tryna make that clear and they aren’t moving that way. If we not aligning say that.
Do not talk to me about collaborating if your primary reason is attachment to my persona. We should collab because of shared principles, trust, and because it mutually benefits our organizing efforts. I don’t feel like every comradeship needs to be abt who you like 😒
Most ppl dnt like Black transfemmes anyway; and the affective attachments yall wanna form with us is often voyeuristic. If CRC had to reject queendom/pedestals, trans folk habe to reject the way we get mythologized even while walking around as a living, human person
Bitches be saying they love me sheerly from how hearing me speak/write make them feel—no deeper engagement. Surface level attachment: and it’s a “yessss! Iconic” and it’s cute but really when you examine it, it’s not solid foundation fir sustainable comradeship.
You want to unite with me? Why? Really examine that. If it’s because you see your hopes for that “radical best friend you can learn from” (aka the InfoMammy as @bratyoulater ) then that’s not it either. I can’t just be someone you vent to abt radical shit either. I want comrades
This might come off as cold or intense but it’s my honest feelings. I don’t want to just be in a ‘community’ that isn’t dedicated to building collective study, collective solidarity, collective struggle, collective spirit—Im sorry. I don’t have spoons for tryna make friends
And if you want to understand what comradeship means to me, you need to understand Anarkata. Esp our principles of self determination, care work, militancy, vigilance, centering the margins, political education, a material commitment/analysis for liberation, and free initiative
If you are not a Black trans women or transfemme this thread is something you need to approach way more carefully than just a *snaps carefully* type thing. Tbqh.
