There was so much "genital preference" discourse today.

I'm usually too squeamish to talk about this, but I never see anyone say it out loud, so:

✨Estrogenized dicks are not like cis men's dicks!✨

If you've never interacted with one, you don't know anything about them!
Lots of trans women have neovaginas that're totally indistinguishable from natal vaginas. Lots of trans women don't take hormones & their anatomy is still female. Lots of trans folks are intersex.

But a pretty huge swath of trans women ✨have a type of junk you've never seen!✨
You know how awful it is when an ancient male senator without even a passing understanding of the cis female reproductive system tries to control it with legislation?

When you, as a cis person, opine about trans women's genitals barring us from lesbianism, ✨that's you!✨
Transphobes love to talk about "basic biology," so here's some basic biology:

For the first two months of development, before hormones begin to differentiate them, all fetuses have an undifferentiated "genital ridge." All human junk springs from the same tissues & is analogous.
So what are estrogenized dicks like?

As with cis genitals, no two are exactly the same, but they're... a lot like if a vagina was shaped like a dick and testes.

Same textures, same smells, broadly similar reactions to stimulation, broadly similar patterns of arousal and climax.
Which is a point missing from these discussions:

✨Sex with an estrogenized dick is its own experience, but it's MUCH MORE like sex with a vagina than sex with a man's dick!✨

Straight women *will not like it.*
Gay men *will not like it.*
Many straight men and lesbians *do!*
So when you tell lesbians who sleep with trans women that they're straight, or tell trans lesbians they're not really lesbians, you're just telling us that you're ignorant of trans bodies and want to control them anyway. In that moment, you're a crusty old conservative senator!
(Trans men on testosterone can have a similar experience with their junk changing form and function, but I'm not going to talk about it here, because I straight up don't know enough about it!)
Don't have sex with anyone you don't want to! You don't ever have to give a reason why you don't want to have sex with someone.

Nobody's trying to "coerce you into sexual availability" or whatever.

(Side note: ostracizing cis lesbians who date trans women *is* sexual coercion!)
But if you go out of your way to tell everyone that you won't have sex with trans women,

and your reasoning is that you think trans women are men, and that sex with us is like sex with men,

don't be surprised when people call you out as an uninformed bigot!
