1/n continue-

So,here is the thread which I decided to write in the morning,but posting it now

Back in 2016 I was selected for the University cricket team,(after local college tournaments/selection process,etc.etc)

Selections were @ http://S.R.T.M.University  Nanded!

So after selection of 16 odd players for the University team, some of us were from outside Nanded district,so we were allocated the University Sports hostel for the camp duration till the actual tournament & the local students selected used to travel (up-down) from the city.

So, now we were some 8-10 students from outside the Nanded, from these districts

(Nanded University is for 4 districts-
Nanded,Latur,Parbhani,Hingoli!)

Now,here is where the story begins, where some of our senior players used to tell us the gossips from previous years.

So previous year's sports batch was also on the campus hostel as usual, & one evening after practice everyone wanted to see the 800 acres of University in its entirety.

(Well it's not possible in one day to cover all the areas that too on foot)

As you enter into the University the sports section,hostel, ground is right next to the main gate,

But as you go uphill further you will find the main building (which by the way is huge),
&
This gate leading to a roundabout (चौक)!

After the Nalanda Gate you arrive at the front garden with a statue and in the background the main building.

So here is were the last year's batch had arrived,(as every year's new comers) watching the statue first
& Then the guessing game being amongst them....

Everyone sat at those round staircase for some rest, cause you know the uphill climb from the main gate,& then these first time visiters started guessing whose statue exactly it is???

Guess 1:- Someone said Swami Vivekananda but the statue isn't the usual folded hands one...

Guess 2:- If it's not Vivekananda, then surely it must be "Bapu";
Then again the usual deduction led to their conclusion Bapu usually has his statues in meditating or with a walking stick....

Guess 3:- The one sane person among our seniors,.....

"....Which University are we in right now???
Then whose statue it must be???
Read the goddamn name of the university at least, lighted up in big signs!!!!"
Atleast go up to the statue and read the name on it‍

So the moral of the story is this-
We used learn about the great freedom fighters and liberators of the Marathwada (part of the Nizam's Hyderabad princely State), in our history books which gave them not more than 2 to 3 pages!!!
That too for only for 8/9th class specific.

The ones from the arts faculty may learn in detail about all the freedom struggle of Hyderabad,but what about the ignorant bunch like us from nonhumanities sections?
We may never get to know about "Our" freedom fighters,unless we take special effort to learn more about them.

Swami Ramanand Tirth was one of the leading prominent leaders so he is atleast remembered in everyday life, but what about the countless liberators who were martyred cause of the worst kind of oppressors the Razakar's....

The Pakistan sympathizer last Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan was amongst the top 10 richest men ever to live on earth!!!!

He was richest man on Earth at the time of independence!!!!

Needless to say how was the wealth amassed and how were the people oppressed....

The region ruled by these ass***** Nizam's was the worst performing region till recently,
Most of the region is draught prone,but the crops yielded were according to the British mandate!!!

After the British lost the American colonies and subsequently it's cotton growing areas where did the Britishers acquired the lost cotton produces!!!

Right the drought prone central India of Marathwada, Berar (East Vidharbh/Amaravati region), Hyderabad Karnataka region....

For eg. Aurangabad MP was as usual absent from today's Celebration @/Aurangabad!!

He had promised to join in virtually like the world's best CM of Maharashtra!!!!

But hypocrite did even show up- gave reason of Loksabha session!!!(for this time)
But what about the past years....
