i think my dream final fantasy game would be:
- tactics/tactics-advance style battlefield mechanics
- turn based (i realise this is something demons say)
- FF6-y in the sense that the amount of playable characters is pretty big
- gay

the last remnant's whole thing of having like, individual teams in battle was so very very cool and i'd love to see more of that

remember when you had to actually install that game to your console because the lag when you played from the disc was so bad? wild times

also bring back Ifrit with the furry red bush and the gay earrings from FF8, that was peak ifrit design

speaking of peak design: final fantasy X bahamut. a dragon in glorious technicolour. hench as fuck. arms folded: arrogant because he knows he's The Hottest One. big spinny wheel thing on his back. sleek like a car in an advert. gold claws. i love him

also since we're talking ideal Final Fantasy:
- job system
- custom or changeable outfits, none of this pish where changing jobs just switches your abilities for battle, i recognise FFX-2 already perfected the concept of clothing but i need more of that

god do you ever just remember FFX-2 actually existed and wasn't something you just dreamed once and then woke up and were disappointed that it didn't exist. like the fuckin quips that the characters hit out with in battle were just absolute solid gold over the top camp glory
