Today, in class, I challenged my professor, Dr. Paul Krugman, about his 9/11 tweet regarding Islamaphobia, and the following tweets with the double downs. It was heated and difficult, but I& #39;m glad that I did it and that I had the avenue to do so. It went how you& #39;d assume.
Wow! I’ll be back, but, thank you so much! I am just so floored with this overwhelming support. I assumed that confronting him would be met with backlash, if anything, once posting it for other Muslims. I don’t feel demoralized anymore. I feel so empowered. Thank y’all again. https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🖤" title="Schwarzes Herz" aria-label="Emoji: Schwarzes Herz">
Oh, someone asked why twitter? He tweeted it, I first confronted him on twitter, & Muslims reached out to me on Twitter upset (/surprised that I was his student). I wanted them to know he was confronted, & anyone else that this hurt. It hit me at my core. I know I’d want to know.
