Here's how I grew my Twitter following from 3k to 7k in about 3 months:
1. Using the search tool to connect with a ton of people in micro-communities that I'm part of (Social Media Marketers, Diversity Professionals DJ, Latinx in tech, etc.)
2. Joining conversations I have some value to add or a strong perspective that can lead to a meaningful discussion. (again, the search bar was super helpful here)
3. Ramping up the sheer amount of content that I share out on a regular basis. I went from sharing about 5x per week to about 3-5x per day, plus commenting on other posts and replying to people multiple times per day too.
4. Engaging with Twitter threads that have a good amount of engagement. Saying something funny, insightful, or provocative can pique the interest of others (sometimes hundreds to thousands of people), then driving them to my page and converting to followers.
5. Creating highly shareable content. Like this: https://twitter.com/ishverduzco/status/1305741494024728576
