Yeah, I remember people getting annoyed about saying cons would be cancelled this year as if it was an overreaction or overly pessimistic instead of realistic

Some may happen and people may attend, but I don't have much faith that things will be under control enough next fall that folks who are immunocompromised like me will be able to "return to regular life"; plenty who don't give a shit about spreading the virus already have

To be clear, I'm not talking about people who are having to work around others because they don't have the luxury of working from home, but I am talking about folks who are still out and about without precautions and doing any non-essential travel

I haven't gone anywhere or seen anyone besides my husband for months and I'm losing it but it's necessary because we didn't just nip this shit in the bud, but sure y'all enjoy yourselves
