Having a race/colour/ethnicity is a different relationship than having a career.

But we often use the same words to describe different relationships.

“Sandy is West Asian”
“Joseph is a plumber”

I see this kind of meme going around a lot. “Blue lives don’t exist”. “There are no blue lives”. Yada yada. It’s just vapid word play. There are police officers and they are, indeed, alive.

Don’t kill people. Not cops. Not architects. Not beige people. Not Polynesians.

I wasn’t trying to exclude black people. Don’t kill black people either! (I was just trying to mix up the examples).
