#AcademicTwitter #internationaldevelopment people: can you recommend documentaries, podcasts, or similar easy to digest materials that provide a broad overview of what international development is, what the geopolitics and geography of it has been, for advanced undergrads?
I'm teaching a cross-listed #MPA and #undergrad course this semester and some of the students have a lot of background in thinking about this, while others have almost none. I'm thinking about Poverty, Inc. or about T-shirt travels, but neither of those is particularly broad.
They also don't cover colonialism or a history of global development, so I'm not sure how much they would help. Any ideas or insights? @amlebas @texasinafrica @dadakim @ryancbriggs @marcfbellemare @cblatts @cgore13 (see thread)
