The prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم was a strong man. He had wisdom, mercy, gentleness, for sure--BUT he also was tough, uncompromising, and even confrontational when necessary.
He did NOT always cave, defer, concede. He wasn't hindered by any sort of misplaced "mercy" or "compassion" when there was no place for these things. It wasn't the indiscriminate softness that some like to continuously cite.
Sometimes, listening to some famous Fulans talking about the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, these types of decisive, hard words are never mentioned. The only aspect of the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم that is ever brought up is "prophetic mercy!"
Of course, the Prophet had immemse mercy, صلى الله عليه وسلم. But he had many other facets to his beautiful character, too.
We need to have a balanced picture of the prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم , not skewed towards one side so we can be forever politically correct and conform to others' standards. Where's the عزة, honor, in that?
