Nigeria Youths need to know how to grow a career and where to grow the career.

This KPMG bants is helping me see why most youths end up with no Job for 6 years and all they do is abuse government from morning till night.

I will shed some light on how to get jobs

First things first
Your university degree will give you an edge but won't save you.

Ensure you learn MS office package no matter the profession, Learn the package to mid level.

Then research on dedicated tools for your profession, master them.

For gaining experience.
Talk to a sibling, Dad or mom, uncle or aunt, or pastor.

Tell them to provide you with transport fare and feeding money for 6 months.

Send an email to any average company in your city. Volunteer to intern with them for free.( they may even pay)

All this while. Stay on that profession. Keep finessing the skills on those tools meant for your profession.

Build Your LinkedIn Daily.
Build Your twitter daily.

Write articles on your profession within this 6 months, publish them on medium and LinkedIn.

If You studied any course in the faculty of arts in Nigeria.
Consider the following if you want to be an entrepreneur

YouTube Content Creation
Acting
Digital Marketing
Brand management
Twitter and Instagram Influencing
Drop shipping
Language teaching at embassies

If You are a medical professional there are over 25 International NGOs in northern Nigeria. they all need your skill. Entry level is not below 350k for most of them.

Northern Nigeria is way safer than the way you see it in the news.

Stop thinking traveling out is it

If You work with an NGO as in Northern Nigeria as a medical professional for 4 years, you will own a house if you want to.

Also, Take up a masters program in Public or community health. or even Nutrition.

The money you will earn, you won't believe you are in Nigeria

If You are an accountant.
The banks are not the best shot for you. but start there or with KPMG and the rest or an NGO as Graduate trainee.

Try your best, Get ICAN or ACCA certified.
Notch it up with CFA if you have the funds.

Then, if you are certified leave the banks

Look for an investment bank or an audit firm and work with.

Better still apply to work with any of the International NGOs in Northern Nigeria. Pay won't be below 650k at that level.

Rise in ranks till you are big enough to work with WTO, UN, World Bank or Ecowas etc

One thing is sure with all these. No sleeping on a bicycle.

Crisis is an industry in Nigeria now. Take advantage of it.
If you studied any other course. I will advise this.

Medicine
Tech
Development & Programs

If You can't its fine still

One advise to the Youths is this.

The standard of pay in Borno State currently is higher than Lagos state.

Make research.
Don't always think traveling out is the solution or Just staying in Lagos eating your mom's stew and dating is the thing. Move out. @lekanpaul retweet
